Dual-function thermoelastic cloak based on coordinate transformation theory

چکیده

In past years, various cloaks have attracted the attention of many scientists but they usually remain confined to a single function. Cloaks combining multiple functions, however, are desirable. this paper, we design thermoelastic with dual functionality by coordinate transformation technique. The wave equations for cloaking and explicit expressions required material parameters established. Symmetrization elastic tensor is applied using Norris’ gauge matrix emphasize feasibility designs. Two different operating conditions, transient propagation steady heat transfer, adopted in numerical calculations designed cloaks. It shown that, on one hand, from perspective observer, whether cloak symmetrized or not, its external response identical invisibility reliable. On other it destined that symmetrization would be accompanied increase internal displacement, which may need paid actual design. addition, temperature effects both consistent. work paper pave way toward realization cloaks, thus broadening research scope metamaterials.

An external cloak with arbitrary cross section based on complementary medium and coordinate transformation.

Electromagnetic cloak is a device which makes an object "invisible" for electromagnetic irradiation in a certain frequency range. Material parameters for the complementary medium-assisted external cylindrical cloak with arbitrary cross section are derived based on combining the concepts of complementary media and transformation optics. It can make the object with arbitrary shape outside the clo...

Thermoelastic Damping and Frequency Shift in Kirchhoff Plate Resonators Based on Modified Couple Stress Theory With Dual-Phase-Lag Model

The present investigation deals with study of thermoelastic damping and frequency shift of Kirchhoff plate resonators by using generalized thermoelasticity theory of dual-phase-lag model. The basic equations of motion and heat conduction equation are written with the help of Kirchhoff-Love plate theory and dual phase lag model. The analytical expressions for thermoelastic damping and frequency ...

Broadband surface-wave transformation cloak.

Guiding surface electromagnetic waves around disorder without disturbing the wave amplitude or phase is in great demand for modern photonic and plasmonic devices, but is fundamentally difficult to realize because light momentum must be conserved in a scattering event. A partial realization has been achieved by exploiting topological electromagnetic surface states, but this approach is limited t...

1 M ay 2 00 8 Coordinate transformation makes perfect invisibility cloak with arbitrary shape

By investigating wave properties at cloak boundaries, invisibility cloaks with arbitrary shape constructed by general coordinate transformations are confirmed to be perfectly invisible to the external incident wave. The differences between line transformed cloaks and point transformed cloaks are discussed. The fields in the cloak medium are found analytically to be related to the fields in the ...

Conformal cubical 3D transformation-based metamaterial invisibility cloak.

A conformal cubical transformation-based metamaterial invisibility cloak is presented and verified, in the near and the far field, by a rigorous full-wave numerical technique based on a higher-order, large-domain finite element method, employing large anisotropic, continuously inhomogeneous generalized hexahedral finite elements, with no need for discretization of the permittivity and permeabil...
